Since the house is located on a quiet street, there is practically no through traffic – a paradise for families where children can play safely. You don't need to worry about your car: a private parking space awaits you right in front of the house.

  • Entertainment & Home Office: Fast WiFi (approx. 50 Mbps) and a 50" 4K Ambilight TV let you enjoy your favorite streaming services as usual (own subscription required).

  • Restful sleep: Two luxurious king-size beds in a quiet location ensure deep relaxation. All windows and doors are protected with mosquito nets and can be completely darkened thanks to blinds and curtains.

  • Your place in the sun: Enjoy the spacious balcony with sea views or your exclusive private terrace in the garden – including a stone barbecue, outdoor sink and comfortable loungers.

  • Service: Towels and bed linen are of course provided upon your arrival.

  • What features does the Golden Gecko offer?

     In short: Everything you need for a perfect holiday! Pure luxury awaits you in this 70 m² apartment, complete with two stylish bathrooms and king-size beds that will make you sleep like a dream. From the 50-inch Ambilight TV for cozy evenings and fast Wi-Fi for sending holiday greetings to the fully equipped kitchen – we've thought of everything. Even mosquitoes stay out thanks to our mosquito nets! You won't have to sacrifice any of the comforts of home here!  

  • How quickly can I jump from bed into the Adriatic Sea? (near the beach)

    Faster than your espresso is ready! We're located right on the beachfront – it doesn't get any more direct than this. You practically step out the front door and onto the sea. Perfect for a first dip in the ocean before breakfast or a sundowner on your balcony with a front-row seat to the waves.

  • Is there parking available directly at the accommodation?

     Yes, absolutely stress-free! A private, spacious parking space awaits your car right in front of the house. Since the Golden Gecko is located at the end of a quiet alley with virtually no through traffic, your vehicle is safe and you can load and unload with complete peace of mind.  

  • When can I check in and by when must I check out?

    We want your holiday to start off relaxing. Check-in is from 3:00 PM – and thanks to our self-check-in via key box, you have complete flexibility and can arrive at any time. On your departure day, we kindly ask you to vacate the apartment by 10:00 AM so we can prepare it for the next guests. (Later check-outs are often possible by prior arrangement!)

  • Is the Golden Gecko family-friendly / suitable for children?

     Welcome, little explorers! The Golden Gecko is ideal for families. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, there is no through traffic. We have two separate bedrooms and, if needed, a comfortable sofa bed in the living room as well as a cot. The direct proximity to the beach makes a beach day with children especially easy.  

  • Can my four-legged friend check in too? (Pets)

     Unfortunately, pets are not allowed! We love animals, however, Golden Gecko is an allergy-friendly, non-smoking accommodation. To guarantee our high cleanliness standards for all guests (including those with allergies), pets are unfortunately not permitted in the apartment. We hope for your understanding!  

  • Where can I find the nearest supermarket or bakery for breakfast?

    Fresh bread rolls are guaranteed! In Nerezine, just a short walk away, you'll find the "Jadranka" supermarket and two local "Pekara" bakeries. There you'll find everything you need for a leisurely breakfast on your balcony with a sea view.

  • Why is the apartment called Golden Gecko? / Are there real geckos to see?

    The name says it all! Geckos are loyal good luck charms and sun worshippers in Croatia – just like our guests. "Golden" represents the high-quality moments and luxury we want to offer you. And yes, with a bit of luck, you might spot our small, agile namesakes on the exterior walls at dusk – they're simply part of the Mediterranean flair!

  • Plans have changed – what now? (Cancellation)

    Plans can change. With us, you pay 50% upon booking and the remainder two weeks before arrival. Should you need to cancel, this is possible up to 14 days before arrival under certain conditions (see our Terms and Conditions). For cancellations made less than 7 days in advance, a 100% cancellation fee applies. For specific details, please read our cancellation policy. We therefore always recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance so you can plan with peace of mind.
